Snorkeling on Rasdhoo’s Vibrant Reefs
Rasdhoo is surrounded by vibrant coral reefs filled with diverse marine life. Just steps from the beach, you can explore shallow lagoons full of tropical fish, sea turtles, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, dolphins and sometimes even manta rays. For those looking for more adventure, join a snorkeling trip to Manta Point, one of the region’s highlights.
Here, during the right season (November to March approx), you can witness majestic manta rays gliding gracefully above cleaning stations. An experience that will stay with you forever. You can read our blog about manta point here. Other nearby spots like Madivaru Reef also offer spectacular underwater views and thriving marine life. With the top of the reef only 2-3 meters below the surface, it is very easy to be able to see all kind of marine life by simply snorkeling around. However, please keep in mind that the reefs are alive and fragile. Therefore we kindly ask our clients to be aware of their fins while on the reef, and to avoid touching or chasing any of the beautiful marine life we are lucky to host in Rasdhoo.
